The Raptors lost five in a row recently thanks to a battle, not on the floor, but with the coronavirus.

Toronto has been without the services of Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam, Malachi Flynn, and Patrick McCaw. That is a big portion of the Raptors offense. The result, of course, was five straight defeats.

The Raptors will face Detroit and Utah before heading to Cleveland on Sunday night. That may be the first game where Toronto will have its full roster intact. How will this affect our free pick ?

Back on Track?

This will be the first meeting of the season between the Raptors and Cavs. With Toronto's roster back to full strength, Sunday's game will be the perfect time for the Raptors to get back on track.

VanVleet and Siakam lead the team in scoring. Both players average 20.1 points per game. VanVleet hasn't played since Feb. 26 and Siakam scored just five points in his last game played on Feb. 24.

If both players play on Sunday night, it will surely take them a while to shake off the dust and get their rhythm back. The Raptors are a middle-of-the-pack scoring team and scored just 95 and 104 in their last two losses - to Chicago and Charlotte.

All Signs Point to the Under

Then, there's Cleveland. The Cavaliers are the worst-scoring team in the NBA. Cleveland averages just 103.3 points per game. They also rank dead last in offensive efficiency. Add in that the Cavs operate on offense at one of the slower - 23rd - paces in the league and bettors have the perfect recipe for playing the total on Sunday.

The key is going to be the number. Cleveland typically sees totals in the low 220s or 210s. When facing good defensive teams, the number is even lower. The Cavs last game against Miami, for example, saw a total of just 206.5.

Then, there are the roster issues. Kevin Love came back from a calf injury only to reaggravate it. He is listed as day-to-day on the injury report. Taurean Prince has missed time and is day-to-day and Matthew Delladova continues to be out.

Cleveland continues to get its scoring from its backcourt of Collin Sexton (23.6 ppg) and Darius Garland (15.8 ppg). With VanVleet back in the lineup and his running mate Kyle Lowry, the Raptors have one of the best defensive backcourts in the NBA.

With the Raptors averaging 112.5 points per game and Cleveland at 103.5, consider playing the Under down to 215 especially if both VanVleet and Siakam are back in the lineup.
