Pac 12- Arizona and Oregon Favorites to Win Conference Tournament

The Pac-12 tips off its end of the season tournament on Wednesday with Arizona, Utah, Oregon and California expected to battle in the semifinals and eventually for the title. However, every tournament has its dark horse and in this one, that title is held by Oregon State.

It appears as if the Pac-12 is much weaker this season. Nine players from the conference were chosen in the NBA draft's first round the past two seasons.

Arizona has lost five of its players in two seasons to the NBA. However, Arizona with it strong recruiting skills is once again a team with lots of depth.

Arizona won the Pac-12 tourney last season after losing for four straight years in the finals. Arizona this season against .750 opponents or less were 20-3 SU, which will help them reach this season's final this weekend.

Oregon has a strong 19-10 SU and ATS record in the tournament including 9-0 SU and 8-1 ATS against teams under .500. Oregon can also play well as a dog going 4-1 ATS in that role this season.

Utah started slow but has been strong ending the regular season. The Utes are 11-1 SU against teams that are .590 or less and 9-3 ATS over its past 12 Pac-12 tournament games.

California struggles in this tournament with a record of 2-6 SU and ATS over its past 8 games. Cal was knocked out early by Arizona last season and is 2-10 ATS as a dog in the tournament, but that was then and this is now and the Bears are much better this year.

Oregon State is 11-3 SU this season versus teams under .500, but just 2-17 SU while 4-15 ATS when a dog of 3 points or more. However, with all five starters back from last season and another year's experience, watch out for the Beavers.

This tournament should be close between Arizona and Oregon the two top teams in the league this season. The Wildcats however should prevail.
