The offseason started for most franchises roughly a week ago. The Washington Commanders, on the other hand, are amid their offseason. On February 2, the Washington Football Team, the franchise, changed its name to Commanders after almost two years. While supporters are divided on the new name, they can all agree on one thing: this squad has the potential to make a splash next season.

Unfortunately for the Commanders, no franchise-caliber quarterbacks are available on the free agency market. So instead, expect Washington to concentrate on free agency to add depth and a trade or draft to solve their quarterback problem.
The Commanders signed Williams Jackson to a three-year, $40.5 million contract last year. While his first year with Washington had its ups and downs, the Commanders still needed additional assistance. In the previous two years, King has played for three different franchises in the league.
With the Texans, he had a career year in 2021, with three interceptions and 93 tackles. In addition, his three interceptions tied for his career-best and were his first since 2018. King’s flexibility to play several positions in Washington will be crucial, particularly if McCain is not re-signed.
