The Green Bay Packers are all set to face the Las Vegas Raiders for some Week 5 NFL action. Both teams have struggled a little early on in the season and will be looking to secure a pivotal victory.

Both teams are coming off losses in the previous week. The Packers were defeated 34-20 by the Detroit Lions and, on the other side, the Raiders lost 24-17 to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Recap of Green Bay Packers 4th week

The Week 4 game was all about surprises with the Green Bay Packers surviving a very challenging first half, falling behind by a 24-point deficit and ultimately facing a 34-20 loss against the Detroit Lions. The game did begin quite well for the Packers, as Rudy Ford intercepted a pass that led to a field goal. However, the Lions had quite an impactful response, scoring 27 consecutive points.

The Packers struggled quite a lot in the first half, failing to secure a first down in their initial five possessions while the Lions continued to dominate in every way. They were 284-21 in total yards by halftime which shows how poor the Packers were on the field that night.

The Packers’ offensive line faced many challenges due to injuries, with key players like David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins sidelined. A critical penalty on a field goal attempt further extended Detroit’s lead, making it quite challenging for the Packers to manage a comeback, which resulted in defeat.

The team is hoping to do better than before in Week 5 and they are surely capable enough to make it happen.

Recap of Las Vegas Raiders 4th week

The Las Vegas Raiders suffered a 24-17 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. The game began with the Chargers taking the lead after a long run by wide receiver Derius Davis, followed by a rushing touchdown by quarterback Justin Herbert. The Raiders’ offense struggled at first but started to improve a bit when they managed a touchdown drive led by rookie quarterback Aidan O’Connell.

Unfortunately, the game took a turn for the worse as the Chargers scored 17 unanswered points in the first half, benefiting from turnovers.

The Raiders did manage their first takeaway of the season with an interception by Trevon Moehrig-Woodard, but their offense just couldn’t convert it into points.

It was the fourth quarter when running back Josh Jacobs finally scored his first touchdown of the season that helped the Raiders quite a lot. Despite the Raiders’ defense not letting the Chargers score a touchdown in the second half, they weren’t able to turn the game around.

The Raiders have a lot to improve on if they wish to secure a win in the upcoming Week 5.

Prediction for Week 5

Both the Green Bay Packers and the Las Vegas Raiders are capable of putting up points which will make this face off a very exciting and interesting one. While the Packers have the edge on offense, the Raiders’ improving defense may surprise them. Fans should expect a very close game, with the Packers having a slight edge over the opposition.
