Robbie, now known as Chosen, was the player shipped out of Carolina mid-season after he beefed with the coaches on the sidelines of a live game. He only had 13 catches for 206 yards and a TD in Carolina before being dealt to the Cards. In Arizona he only had 7 catches for 76 yards and zero TD’s. His stats are underwhelming but his speed is good enough that Miami thinks he will be able to stretch the field opposite side of Tyreek Hill and create space underneath for Jalen Waddle. In truth he is a decoy.
On social media he posted “I’m heading home,” and tagged the Dolphins’ account to let everyone know about his choice. The 29-year-old went to high school in nearby Plantation, FL, and now wants a new beginning in sunny Miami.
Anderson will be returning to the AFC East after spending his first four NFL seasons with the Jets before moving on to the Panthers and Cardinals. Anderson, a former Temple Owl, was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent.
The Dolphins already have Braxton Berrios, Cedrick Wilson Jr., Robert Cracraft, and Freddie Swain in addition to starters like Hill and Waddle at wide receiver.
