Aaron Rodgers departed the game with an injury less than five minutes into his first contest with the New York Jets before he even attempted a completion. He had to be taken back to the locker room by the cart after being picked up from the medical tent.

Simply put, the Jets cannot enjoy pleasant things.

Leonard Floyd sacked Aaron Rodgers early on in his eagerly anticipated Jets debut. No evident damage or terrible hits appeared to have occurred. However, Rodgers indicated that he was hurt by turning to face the sideline before sitting down on the MetLife Stadium grass. The training crew assisted him in leaving, and he then went to the medical tent. Rodgers sustained an ankle injury, according to the Jets, and his comeback was uncertain. Rodgers was declared ineligible during the second quarter, and the Jets noted that X-rays were negative.

Robert Saleh, the Jets’ head coach, acknowledged the situation was “not good” following their improbable 22-16 overtime victory. The team believes Rodgers has an Achilles problem, and he will have an MRI on Tuesday.

Officially, Rodgers had only completed one pass, an incomplete pass that he threw away under pressure. Until he left the game, he took part in four snaps.

Wilson completed 14 of his final 21 passes for 140 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Gipson returned the punt in the extra period to secure the victory after the Jets rallied with 13 straight points in the second half to force overtime.

This offseason, the Jets made a hefty trade to acquire Rodgers. The four-time MVP, Aaron Rodgers, had spent many successful years with the Green Bay Packers before joining his second NFL franchise. Analysis: The Jets are still a very talented team. Everything now rests on the hands of young Zach Wilson. He has flashed of brilliance and can play football when his head is in it. I don’t think they will win the Super Bowl but they may be a playoff team.
