Tonight at MSG in NYC the Big Ten tournament opens and its a good one. Penn State is set to face Ohio State. The line is currently Ohio State -2.5

Projected Starters:

Ohio State: G C.J. Jackson (6-1, Jr., 12.4 ppg); G Kam Williams (6-2, Sr., F Jae'Sean Tate (6-4, Sr., 12.5 ppg); F Keita Bates-Diop (6-7, Jr., 19.2 ppg); C Kaleb Wesson (6-9, Fr., 11.0 ppg).

Penn State: G Shep Garner (6-2, Sr., 10.3 ppg); G Tony Carr (6-5, Soph., 19.9 ppg); G Josh Reaves (6-4, Jr., 10.3 ppg); F Lamar Stevens (6-8, Soph., 15.2 ppg); F John Harrar (6-9, Fr., 0.9 ppg).

Penn State is 20-12 SU and 15-12-1 ATS. They score 75 on offense and allow and average of 66 PPG. They are coming off a win against Northwestern after a three game skid.

Ohio State is 24-7 SU and 15-14 ATS. They score 76 PPG and allows 66 PPG. They are on a two game win streak.

This is the third time these teams have played one another this year. Penn State won both meetings. Will this be the trifecta? One thing is for certain; the pressure is all on OSU tonight.

Penn State is without starting forward Mike Watkins. He will miss the entire tournament with an injury. But Tony Carr is playing and he has been the Buckeye killer this season. He scored 28 points in the first matchup including the buzzer-beater to win the game.

Still, I think the safe play is Ohio State. But, I say take the moneyline for insurance against a backdoor cover. I like OSU to win straight up. They are 21-4 against PSU in their last 25 and I have to take the overwhelming trend.
