(5-5) Milwaukee Brewers vs. (4-5) St. Louis Cardinals

It is still so early in the season you cannot really judge what kind of teams the Cardinals and the Brewers will ultimately end up being in 2018. Thus far, both teams have performed mediocre.

One stat that seems to jump instantly is the amount of runs Milwaukee is allowing. They allow almost five runs per game, while only scoring 3.30. St. Louis hits in 4 runs per game and allows about 4.

Baseball is all about pithing. On the mound for the Cards is 26 year old Carlos Martinez. He is 1-1 this year with a 2.84 ERA. The Brewers will be starting 28 year old lefty Brent Suter. He is also 1-1 but his ERA is 6.30

The pitching and home field advantage combine to make St. Louis favorites at -160 and Milwaukee is a +150 underdog.

Just five days ago St. Louis and Martinez got the win at Milwaukee defeating Jhoulys Chacin, 6-0.

I like St. Louis at home and risking the -160 isn't too high of a price for home field advantage and a pitcher coming off of a good solid win against this very same team. Take the Cardinals.
