Thursday Night at 10:10 pm EST The Los Angeles Dodgers host the Washington Nationals. The game is the continuation of a home stand for the Dodgers which just saw them playing Atlanta. Note: This article written before final game of ATL vs LAD series tonight, so stats will be missing that one game.

The Nationals come into to town at 14-21. The Nats have seen better days. Although they score 4.63 runs per game, they allow 5.12
The Nationals are 3-7 of their last ten. They are 7-10 on the road.

The Dodgers are 24-14 and are in the NL West lead by one game. See team records here. The Dodgers are 7-3 of their last 10 games. The Dodgers are 14-4 at home.

Atlanta has former D'Back Patrick Corbin taking the mound. His season numbers are not bad. He is 2-1 with a 3.17 ERA. Corbin is a 29 year old lefty with basically a .500 career record and a 3.90 ERA

The Dodgers are putting Lefty veteran Rich Hill on the mound. The journeyman has strung together some good seasons for the Dodgers and he looks to get his first win of the season Thursday Night. He is 0-0 with a 3.90 ERA in two starts.

The betting lines reflect the matchup well. Rich Hill and the Dodgers are just -130 favorites. The Nationals are +120.

In my mind if the moneyline was higher, say -150 or more, I would have suggested taking the Nationals. But the cheap price, a long home stand, and a solid pitcher looking for his first win has me picking the Dodgers instead.

Look for Corbin to keep it respectable early. But, he will give up a few runs and the Nat's bullpen should give up even more. Hill should be able to pitch well enough to get his first win Thursday night.

This game can only be seen on the MLBN. Primetime MLB schedule
